enchanted771 Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I'm rather sad about it even though I'm pretty sure it's for the best. I'm either ending it completely or I will limit my contact with him. For the record, he's a narcissist, not that it makes what he said (to follow) right. He never admitted it, but I have done enough research, plus Life experience to know their traits. He made a comment about a disabled person. It was a nickname not directly making fun, but what he said was so degrading. I was so disappointed in him As a person. Especially coming from a 41 year old man. His excuses were that he was just being goofy, not to get crazy on him, and that he's not degrading because then he would have been doing that to me All the time. I said oh no you wouldn't! I wouldn't allow that! Then he tells me He's not the enemy and to chill out and he has to go back to work. I feel so ill. We have been good friends but Never did I ever see him use a disrespectful name for A mobility impaired person. Hallmark of a narcissist is lack of empathy. So sad.
lollipopspot Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I kind of want to ask you for more specific details on what was said and the context.
whichwayisup Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 That doesn't make him a narcissist. It makes him a cruel person. Mean people can have no empathy. Maybe he has some traits. What other issues have you had with the friendship?
