I grew up in a culture where most people date 'traditionally'. Holding hands is a natural part of the progression there and it's the first act of physical intimacy that couples do. I don't know one single girl from that culture who thinks holding hands is 'childish'. We all held hands with a guy that we were getting close to and were romantically interested in, even if we weren't having sex or even kissing yet. Added to the part where she said "Nobody does that in China" (uh, very untrue)... It sounds to me like she's making excuses, honestly. Yeah i think she is finding excuses whether she is just very cautious playing it safe or just playing me it remains to be seen - but i am always the glass half full kind of guy... Anyways since last "date" i havent really messaged her and the last four weeks we all went out and it was always I who did the initiating... I guess i am trying to play it cold see if she gives a crap at all and try to contact me... Maybe not since she said she is passive by nature... she also commented how couple guys she went out with for 2 dates just stopped communicating with her (maybe they couldn't stand the no progress?)... I do see her older sister in a gym class i go to.... should i talk to her at all? She is the one who actually pushed her into going on dates... Maybe she can tell me some insider info?
