Not sure why you are sweating over this. He said yes, it's a date what more do you need? The day before, give him a time and where you are taking him....it's pretty straight forward. And for heaven sakes, keep flirting/talking with the guy, don't stick your head in the sand. Not getting why everyone gets so worried about being turned down for a date. It's just a date. I have been turned down and it never bothered me. There are plenty more out there to ask out.

Then don't act like it's a huge deal -- but guess what? You definitely insist on paying. He may try but you say, No, I asked you out. You can pay next time. Don't do anything overly elaborate. Do something that keeps you busy.
