shruti17 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Hey, I recently started NC after 7 months of breakup. Since I abruptly stopped talking to him, I left him hanging, but since he broke up I think he deserves it . He txted me yesterday saying ''So we aren't even friends anymore?'' I really want to reply since I don't want to be rude and yes I still have feelings for him, plus in two weeks I'm leaving the country, so I have this urge to talk to him again. Its been a week of NC. I am afraid if I don't reply, I will get blamed for being the rude one and the relationship (or friendship) will be irreparable. What should I do?? Any opinions?
sunshine15 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Wasnt it rude for him to break you heart? You dont owe anything to him. You have probably talked about second chances with him all this time and he has rejected you everytime. Dont worry about him getting mad or something. It is for you.
Author shruti17 Posted July 28, 2014 Author Posted July 28, 2014 thats true! I did talk about those! Hell I have cried many times, tried the hardest to maintain cordial relationship, but he wanted to be just friends, actually he gives mixed signals. Sometimes he'll be all sweet and nice and somedays he will be just rude and distant! Its very difficult to understand what he wants! But since this was my first serious relationship, I dont know how to deal with it all. To txt him or to grant him his wish of a life without me, since thats what breakups are for.
sunshine15 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I was actually in the same situation as you... My ex wanted me in his life, and it was my first serious relationship so I was holding on to him and I accepted, but it actually drove me crazy. What you think are "mixed signals" are just breadcrumbs to keep you around as a plan B and you are biting them. Stick to NC. If he had wanted to come back, he would have reached to you with the words "I made a huge mistake and I want to come back". It sucks, but he has decided it to be this way, not you.
