RoxStar Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 POLL!!! Who loves their job? I used to but lately I cant even get out of bed in the morning! NEXT....
Pocky Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I have yet to love a job. Maybe I will when I'm finally teaching...
Artifact Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I know I am lucky to have my job. Does that count? And I actually used to love it. Now I like it. I'm ready to move on though. There's no place to move up here!
IhavenoFREAKINclue Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I love it more that a fat kid loves cake!
Podna Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Most days I love it. I love it most when there are clear blue skies, calm winds, no turbulence and a competent student who wants to learn. Some days I hate it. I hate it when a student botches a landing and nearly kills us both.
kellybelle Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I love my job. I'm getting a new boss in 2 weeks, though, kinda apprehensive about that....l
EC Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I just started my new job and I love it..but I cant wait to become a sex therapist.

imjustagirl Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I love my job like I love to have a hole in my head. If it'd pay me enough, I'd pay someone to take it. Literally. When I get a new job, this will be my last email I send out: "Take this job and shove it!"
ThumbingMyWay Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I love my job. Just me and 2 owners. Come and go as I please.....family comes first here. Plus we have a pool table and frig full of beer for those long days.....hahahahah. I got it made and I am blessed to be in such a cool workplace.
LucreziaBorgia Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Right now I freelance, and I'm lovin' it.
westernxer Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I actually quit my job six months ago... now collecting unemployment until something else opens up. Been living off my savings before that with some freelance gigs here and there to keep me busy. If this counts as a job, then, yes, I love my job.

quankanne Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I couldn't have done better if I'd have asked for it on a silver platter -- this is a wonderful job, and I feel blessed to have it. I love who I work for and who I work with. I really can't call it work, though. It's more like hanging out with some really cool members of the family AND getting paid for it).
Naive Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Originally posted by RoxStar POLL!!! Who loves their job? I used to but lately I cant even get out of bed in the morning! NEXT.... I love my job, I feel like I am playing office!!!! It's not easy but I have to deal with all types of paperwork and it makes me think back when I was 7 and would ply office, it's sooo cool. I get to dress the part and everything. I'm sure I will like it better when I am the attorney
greenhorn Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I too love my job ..i really enjoy and the best part of my job is that my Boss is always continents away from me only this time he is countries away across the Baltic sea... I read somewhere If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap If you want happiness for a day, go for picnic If you want happiness for a year, get married If you want happiness for lifetime, love what you do
morrigan Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I like my job quite a bit (I save my love for my personal time). I don't earn tons of money, but I don't have to deal with BS, unless we have to contact the state offices. I live in a small community, so I know many of the elderly people who are our clients, most of them are really nice people.
brashgal Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 I enjoy my job. I like to take on new jobs every few years though - I get bored.
jellybean Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 I had a lengthy, well paid union-wages, career in telecommunications. I hated every minute of it. I would often sit at my desk and fantasize how I'd rather CLEAN TOILETS FOR A LIVING! Three years ago the corporation offered severance packages in their efforts to down-size by 6,000 employees (1/3 of the staff). I was ELATED! Finally, I was given a wonderful opportunity to escape. I took a year off, and just had fun doing nothing. Then the money ran out, and I found my current job in sales. I no longer have all the perks like before, but at least my contributions are based on merit, and I'm no longer just a 'number'. Not sure if I LOVE my job....but I sure love paydays.
portableversion Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 that I will proceed to talk about it. It was the Hilton Springfield in Springfield Illinois. Call 217-789-1530, on the corner of 7th and Adams It was there that I became convinced that management and professionalism were enemies of the human race and need to be extinguished. Its just a ploy to get the workers to screw each other over while geeting paid as little as possibe. I see ol, Paris Hilton, and I want her corpse drug through the streets. For shame Paris you would starve out my family for such hard work, mistreatment, and pathertic wages. Its nice to see that my servitude can make someone else feel happy. And have it so good without putting up with all the S#@!. It was at the Hilton in Springfield that I swore off capitalism and became radicalized.Never again will I tolerate the ranting of Rush Lintball. I now organize for a union and its so rewarding to relate to angry workers who are sick and tired of the crap and are going to fight back and not take it anymore. Each new member I sign up is therapy and a punch back at sicko management models which encourage humans to cannibalize each other over a few extra dollars an hour. So if you all are in Springpatch, IL make sure to stop by and steal or break something.
portableversion Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 I shouldn't be so harsh on Paris, she probably has nothing to do with it all, more so its the CEO's who work for her, and then too the Hilton I worked for in Springfield was a franchise afterall. I just see the Hilton sign and I shudder. I will at least talk shyt about it to everyone possible to damage their reputation.
