Keenly Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 When some one you love does something very generous and unexpected, a moment of emotion can sometimes happen, especially if your "guard" was down, so to speak. As long as you are not a pussy all of the time you will be alright. Hopefully, if she has any heart at all inside of her, it will give her comfort knowing she has that effect on you. 3

I agree.
d0nnivain Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 You are supposed to be able to let your guard down around people you love & trust. Being grateful & appreciative of a thoughtful gift is good manners, not whimpy-ness.
GorillaTheater Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 There are certain legitimate reasons for a man to get misty-eyed: 1. An unexpected gift of NASCAR tickets. 2. The death of your dog. 3. Getting your beer stolen. 4. That scene towards the end of "The Dirty Dozen" when Jim Brown gets killed after killing 189 Nazis. 5
CaliGypsy Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I'm sure even though she might have been a little embarrassed (based on her comment) I'm guessing she was thrilled to pieces with your response. It's the best feeling when a gift is received with such a joyful response. Don't apologize for honest, heartfelt emotion.
