I tried bars, clubs, that other type of clubs (book clubs, etc), online dating, I tried to get my friends to find people for me, my family has tried as well, etc, etc, etc... and nothing has ever worked. I'm still single, a virgin and I've never been on a real date in my entire life. I'm desperate. Desperate enough to spend my life savings helping out a complete stranger come to America. How much does it cost? How does it work exactly??? I think this Asian mail-order bride thing is my last chance. I'm willing to settle for any vampire who will use me and take advantage of me while dating people from her own culture behind my back... I don't really care anymore.

From what I hear, relationships with mail order brides have a high potential to be exploitive; if it's not the man demanding some Stepford Wife with an accent, it's the woman expecting a green card and an ATM, given the 47 relatives back in the village that you'll be expected to support, too. I dunno man. You could probably find some success stories out there, but it seems pretty risky to me. 5

carhill Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 If you're truly interested, search for a forum which discusses interactions with Asian (or other cultures) women and learn about the process. I did this back during the mid 90's through the newsgroups and an e-mail list at St. John's University, learned and went (to the FSU/CIS), rented an apartment and met women. Had a lot of positive experiences and enough not so positive ones to make it real. Things are a lot less restrictive (and expensive) now than back then so get educated, both about other cultures and how to travel cheap, and head out.

He went to the wrong meetup event and ended up crashing an Asian-American dinner where he was the only white guy. His fiance was surrounded by eager Asian dudes but she only gave her number to my brother. She isn't looking for a green card (she's a naturalized citizen), so their relationship doesn't have that exploitative dimension. Maybe try this kind of strategy? I don't mean to stereotype but I've noticed that lot of Asian girls do go for white men, and I think their preferences are sometimes different: they seem to prioritize success/intelligence over looks. 1

As an absolute last resort, because I'm convinced the Russian and Latin ones would reject me just as every other Caucasian woman has in the past. Sorry, I'm just ranting now.
