So was he just drunk?

Quiet honestly, I don't know. He would never lie to me, however I am not sure if HE even remembers whether or not he actually had a drink or two.

It would be ideal if he was simply just drunk but even still, he has been drunk around me and never acted like that before!

He was drunk on both our birthdays and never just "forgot" anything or .... suddenly became adamant that I WAS THERE with him and suddenly disappeared!:(

It may be an idea for him to speak to the friends he was out with to try and figure out what happened. With his health issues, it makes sense to follow this up.

You can speculate forever with this stuff but it means nothing unless you get the full story of what happened from those who were with him and also his current state would be helpful.

He is suddenly ... extra lovey and happy. Telling me he "loves me soooo much" when normally he isn't sappy and simply tells me he loves me in a normal fashion without gushing about it.

He is normally lovely to me anyway lol but he rarely uses the term " I love you soooooo much, I cannot wait to see you"

then before I replied he sent another : " god I cannot wait (to see me)

So he is a tad more enthusiastic about me than usual lol

I have one. As I said, I was born with a underdeveloped cerebellum. I'm not the person I could have been, if I was not born with this. Whatever, a permanent brain injury changes a person, Things about them won't ever be the same again.

So, is he going to see a doctor to follow-up? A sudden and seemingly unexplained change in behaviour is concerning. What does his mother say?

No.

I wish he was just drunk.

He said he hadn't drunk. He wasn't drunk.

Didn't his mom say he was inebriated, though? And she was with him. You say in your first post that he was at the club having a drink so I'm not sure why it's a big mystery.

I hope he's okay; probably it is a bad idea for him to drink at all.

Defo not a spiked drink??

He might not of drunk much but if it was spiked..

I remember getting a call to get once from a lad who was with my now gf telling me he couldn't get any sense out of her, she was stressing out...I went down there and she only just about knew who I was and practically nothing else.

Its an option...though she was very obviously out of it - could barely stand up, mood swinging like crazy! Still you can be spiked with all different things and if hes on meds it could of reacted with that?

I assumed he was having a drink as he was at the local club playing snooker. Surely he would have ordered a beer?

When I asked him however, he said he definitely wasn't drunk. But I cannot trust his word since well, he thought I was with him and was distressed and disorientated.

I am going to get in contact with the friend who was with him and ask him what transpired. He seems nice enough and I am sure he would be willing to help.

Well his own mum is a doctor so she is monitoring him. Said she would keep her eye on him, that nothing imminent was likely to happen but that she was a little concerned because she had never seen him like this before. Well, not since he got into rehabilitation!

Before intensive rehab he was a mess. I was not his partner at this time. His partner at the time couldn't handle it and left, she lived in the UK anyway.

apparently after first sustaining his injury, he woke up, looked over at his ex gf and he was like " WTF, why are you here, how did you get here?"

Apparently she started crying. It must have been difficult for those who knew him them, to see the permanent changes in him.

Me? I never knew him BEFORE the injury. And frankly, if he never had his injury then perhaps he would never have met me, everything in life happens for a reason.. he is still a vibrant, intelligent man.
