ChamomileWind Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) I'm an adult woman but not sure if anyone heard of groping done by girls. If this happened in a classroom, what trouble would she get into to? Would she also get in trouble for doing that, even when it was fun? Here is my story as the groper: I've only done that once as a 12 year-old in 7th grade while he 14 and in 8th grade. However, I had art class with him (it was an elective in which it was for 6th-8th graders) Some told me and well since he happened to be my crush at the time, I was like sure why not. I groped him in his behind and then got back to my seat. Needless to say, he didn't quite like it and was ready to inform this to the teacher but then said he wouldn't if I stop laughing and don't say a single word anymore. To be honest, I was kind of concerned that I would get in trouble for that. Now this has me wondering. I'm assuming that a guy would probably get a detention or maybe even suspended for that but what would have happened to me if this had been informed (3 classmates saw this too but said nothing)? Smilecharmer Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Same thing as a boy now. My neighbor got suspension once for ruffling a boys hair in class. It is considered sexual harassment.

It is considered sexual harassment.Thank you. The reason I brought this up is because somewhere else I heard about groping and it kept saying how guys need to keep their hands to themselves, respect girls, etc. This is when this came back to me. I didn't mean to harrass him though. It was a joke. I guess I got lucky this wasn't reported.
Smilecharmer Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 They take stuff like this very seriously now. I keep trying to figure out how ruffling someone's hair, which I imagine is just messing it up, maybe? Is sexual harassment. I remember once in college a guy friend of my sisters was propositioned by a female instructor. She said she would give him an A in the class which he was failing.
Author ChamomileWind Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 Wow things have changed so much now. I also don't get how ruffling someone's hair is sexual harrassment. I guess they just don't want any kind of trouble at school now that they'll react for anything. 1
ASG Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 I go to sci-fi conventions and at these things you usually have the opportunity to buy a photoshoot with the guests in attendance. The events I usually attend have a sign in the photo shoot area, that groping of any kind is not allowed. It wasn't put there because of guys, but because of girls thinking that grabbing the guest's ass was a good idea. 2

I agree, if someone doesn't want to be touched that way, they shouldn't tolerate it.
