Ex Birthday

I know its over.

 

Have no hope in getting back together.

 

But i know on the day of her bd i am going to feel sad.

 

Why?

 

Don't plan on wishing my ex a happy bd but why do i feel bad about this?

 

Is it she wished me one on mine?

 

Either way i know my ex could careless if she hears from me but i have to stay strong.

Only been in NC for over a month.

You probably feel sad because it's something you were looking forward to sharing with her. Instead, she will share her bday with other people. Might also be that it's another "year" without you.

 

Don't wish her happy birthday, indeed. I didn't, and I feel good not doing so.

Yeah, the only thing you can do is pretend it's just another day.

 

It will be harder if the break up is recent.

 

My ex's birthday is next week. I was with her and her family last year for her birthday. It was a great day.

 

This year she won't even get a second thought from me.

It's just another day. I had the same feelings when my ex's birthday came, I resisted any urge to send her a birthday wish and I am glad that I did.

You feel sad because it marks a milestone without her, and I'm assuming it's the first one. If you've been with someone for awhile, holidays and birthdays are hard because your recent memories are with your ex. I had the cr@ppiest Thanksgiving and Christmas last year. I was miserable, and my birthday wasn't much better. In time, you will make new memories. By the time his birthday and our former anniversary came around, I could have cared less.

Well this will be the first one with no communication.
