Hi y'all!

Hope you're doing well. I have a question.

Is it considered rude to accept a wedding shower gift and then a wedding gift, not thank people for either of them and then accept someone throwing you a baby shower asking for more gifts?

How would you handle this situation- would you give a gift or attend?

Thanks so much y'all! xx

I s a wedding shower what used to be called a bridal shower? i think there is too much rain......

i never had a baby shower, i never expected anyone to buy gifts.....have been to a few i always ask what they would like me to buy....

i think the word shower says it all......shower with gifts......attached so I feel if you go to a event with shower attached to it you need an umbrella full of gifts......

i believe a thougtful gift even small is appropriate for all.....i think it is rude not to bring something...me personally i skip throwing showers and go play in the rain pregnant even...real rain ...not presents dropping on my head..i havent felt it necessary to throw showers have been to a few though.....stuck some sticker to my forehead and tried to guess what it was at baby showers.....made rhymes out of gyno equipment at another...and given gifts everytime....fun...not really but i go to be supportive..deb

It's not rude to accept gifts.

It's rude to not thank the people who gave you the gifts though.

It's okay to accept gifts....It's not okay to not send out thank you cards.

Sounds like that person who is getting all the gifts just doesn't know any better (though doubtful, it's just common sense to send thank you notes) or she's a bit too lazy to do.

I would not do to the baby shower. Depending on my relationship with the person I might send a small gift.
