Armegoggon Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I'm an Asian guy and I notice that dating sites tend to have more white girls than Asians. So because of this low popularity, my question is, would white girls consider dating an Asian guy? If so, what are some good tips for Asian guys when it comes to approaching a white girl (in person or online)?
TheyCallMeOx Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 My sister, Caucasian, is dating an Asian dude. Anything's possible. ANYTHING'S POSSIBBBLLEEE!!!!!!! Pro-tip: Don't date racist white girls. Tip: Be yourself. 4
Zippy2000 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Of course they do but its a small number. I dont like the word asian. I class myself as oriental. All my girlfriends have been white but it really depends how attractive you are and how you look after yourself.

I would just be yourself and focus on your inner qualities as a person as opposed to any kind of specific outer appearance. 2

I've also seen and know an Asian-male/white-female couple. So, like anywhere else, it's about finding that person that is open to such kinds of relationships. Just do and see what kind of response you get.
todreaminblue Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 some women dont judge race but accept you for the person you are, which is always better if you are a good person that shines through I myself have only ever dated one guy from an asian background not even sure what asia......and it doesnt really bother me..its just a country...is asia classed as a country or collection or countries?....i dont know...lol.....i hardly can ever tell where people come from ....i just take them as people...regardless..the father of my girls was from south africa i actually first thought he was from new zealand so i was a bit out......its all relative though....if i like a guy i dont care where he comes from ..i just care about who he is and what he stands for and if he cares about me as much as i do for him all the rest ...can be worked out.......deb 1

Of course white women date Asian guys. But just like everything else, such as height, everyone has preferences and there's nothing wrong with that! Be a man. Be confident. Have your sh*t together. Not so difficult to figure out. 1
taiko Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Of course they do but its a small number. I dont like the word asian. I class myself as oriental. . Keep in mind that Americans since the 1970s have been taught that "oriental" refers to objects and Asians to people. So for maybe a majority of this website referring to you by your preferences opens us up to changes of bigotry
R3d Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 (edited) The consensus seems to be that even being Asian/Indian while still somewhat of a disadvantage in some instances is not nearly as bad as being short. Check this out: http://www.loveshack.org/forums/transitioning/search/475084-being-indian-descent-really-detrimental-even-if-you-americanized-9.html#post5795377 Yeah I know - that thread is about being Indian (not Native American type - the Asian type) rather than Asian, but if anything, I think Indians have it even harder when it comes to this, so... sugarlove Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 ... out of topic. I"m sure shortness is covered in another thread. I know Asian guys who date white girls and white guys who date Asians. It's becoming more or less a homogenous society now so cultural differences are getting smaller and smaller. Yes, online dating sites are filled with white girls, it depends on where you're looking, I can that these sites have very little Christians.. and ask the same question as you. If you prefer Asian girls, there's asian dating sites, if I prefer Christian guys, I'll go to a christian dating sites. The net is not as small as you think, you don't have to date a white girl just because there aren't as many asians on your site. 1
somedude81 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 LOL, it's another "Do white girls like X guys." Why does everybody want white girls? What's wrong with women of your own race?

So, I must admit, my first thought was, as long as he's a good-looking Asian guy (ie, not short). I also like Hispanic guys who aren't short. It must suck to be a short guy, especially since it's not something you have any control over! It's such a shallow preference, and yet...
Imported Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Dress like a white guy. Cowboy hat, super tight wrangler jeans, flannel shirt and cowboy boots? How do you think American people with Asian ancestry dress?
CrystalCastles Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Yes, white girls like Asian guys. I was into a Chinese guy for the longest time last year (6 months, plus 2 after that to get over him). And before that, another Chinese guy who I liked for a year. Approach a white girl like you would approach any other girl.
winterpast Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I think women are attracted to all types of guys...everyone is different. But if it helps... I'm a White girl who is married to an Asian man.
Haydn Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 why make it a race issue???? men and women like genders of all races. No big deal unless you have something against mixed RS. Op, you will find many girls that find you attractive. Even the blue ones! LOL, it's another "Do white girls like X guys." Why does everybody want white girls? What's wrong with women of your own race? 1
gaius Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I never really see any women getting all hot and bothered at the chinese buffet.
still_an_Angel Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 LOL, it's another "Do white girls like X guys." Why does everybody want white girls? What's wrong with women of your own race? Hmmm... I actually see more of white men marrying Asian girls, not the other way around. My friend did a study on this in her uni years, seems white guys find the Asians exotic so they go for them.
salparadise Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Statistically, according to reply rates as analyzed by okc, the white female to asian male reply rate is 21 percent. The rate would be 61 percent if replies were distributed evenly (no bias) based on the number of users. So an asian man does seem to be at a disadvantage, assuming these stats are representative of preferences overall, and I don't see why they would not be. Here is the link: Reply rates by race.
sillyanswer Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I'm an Asian guy and I notice that dating sites tend to have more white girls than Asians. So because of this low popularity, my question is, would white girls consider dating an Asian guy? I'm sure she might. If so, what are some good tips for Asian guys when it comes to approaching a white girl (in person or online)? Don't get hung up about you and her being different. She's just a person, so are you. Ask her. 1
taiko Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Cowboy hat, super tight wrangler jeans, flannel shirt and cowboy boots? How do you think American people with Asian ancestry dress? Well women more than men of Asian, African and Arabic ethnic groups do tend to wear the native cultural dress of their homelands after immigrating to other nations. And perhaps as part of a prejudice we think it is because the male forces them to retain the veil and other native dresses so at the edge there is that cultural prejudice. Sort of a version that the Asian male more likely then the native western cultures male only wants someone barefoot and pregnant and can't even be alone with her father in law.
Lipitor11 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 For some its all about preference, and what type of guys they are attracted to. But then again, love is blind.
ascendotum Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 For some its all about preference, and what type of guys they are attracted to. But then again, love is blind. To some character traits or a person's life circumstances more so, but less blind when it comes to appearances. Preferences rule choice much more often than not. (imo). Where I live currently I do a bit of a double take when I see an Asian dude with a Caucasian woman, because its somewhat rare. The guys are not quite stereotypes...mixed blood, better looking than average, taller than average, do body building, dress more stylish/edgey.
