ppd12 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Hello!!! I am in need of some advice Long story short, I liked this girl at my college and she liked me back. She wasn't ready for a relationship though because she was hurt from a previous relationship that she had immediately gotten out of (it was a couple months long and she had a 2 year relationship prior to that). We hung out, got closer, and at times she thought she was ready (said love you and stuff), but then admitted she wasn't ready for a relationship. She has admitted to liking me, said I'm really cute, etc. Summer starts, we maintain contact but are unable to meet up (we live 2 hours apart but she was taking summer classes and working 6 days a week). I even called her when her dad was in the hospital when she needed to talk to someone and sent her a birthday card that she loved last month. However, she she feels hesitant to be my girlfriend, but said she wants to hang out and get to know me better. Later said she really cares about me, but that she felt like she was "running away" but then admitted she was overreacting. At this moment, I haven't seen her in almost 2 months. She just finished class, so I asked her if she want to hang out last week (go on a picnic), but have not gotten a response. Thoughts? I was thinking of not talking to her for the rest of the summer, giving her some space and then in the fall start talking to her again. In the end, I just want a chance with her, thats all. Thanks for your input, means a lot!
remote Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Giving her space doesn't mean you have to stop talking to her entirely. You know what she's been through, and you do want a chance with her, so just take it slow. Continue what you're doing, if she likes you, she will come to you when she is ready.
d0nnivain Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 If you asked her on a picnic & she hasn't responded, back off. Let her come to you. If she doesn't try again when school starts & you are more local to each other. If that doesn't work, give up.
