sugarlove Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 (edited) My friend popped in on me last week and asked me if there's something about Friday.. I looked at her and said "Huh?" She apparently told me that it seemed I'll be calling her to come by for a visit almost every Friday since a month ago. I never noticed that I've been feeling down for a few Fridays now. One of the hardest thing to cope when you have a broken relationship is the empty slots over the weekend. So what are you doing this weekend and how have you been feeling? ---------------------- Well for me, I've joined a dating site this weekend , been just flipping through the profiles and wondering how simliar every one is to each other. Had a few chats with a couple of nice blokes which was nice. But still don't think I'm emotionally ready to have anything just yet. Finished off a few orders for my business, rearranged my storeroom, been blasting my Spotify music list loudly the whole day and been updating my website as well. I've also went online to read about some relationship stuff, just things I would like for my next relationship. I've a date tonight but I'm not sure if I'm up for it.... still deciding at the moment. Feeling: (calm and at peace) Edited July 12, 2014 by sugarlove
NC-Thomas Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 * Waking up to this song: * Having a date, taking her to the park + icecream * Going to the sauna * Taking a motorbike trip with my friends (2 year RS, 1.5 months NC, 2 months BU) Life is better than you think! Live the moment! And let your date be, just experience it. Dating is also a distraction. It boosts your confidence and gets your ex of that nasty pedestal! Have fun! 1

JimmyWeezy Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I'm going to the park with a friend and her cute dog today after lunch. She needs help with something work related and I offered my help since she's been so sweet last week when my bf broke up with me. Tomorrow I think I will move back to my house after spending a week at my fathers... I needed to get out for a little because my house is full of memories of him and I couldn't make it there last week when it all went down.

It's a great idea to move from an environment that is hampering your recovery.. moving also helps your mind to change your perception to accept a fresh start. That's why some people find a trip overseas help to reset all the emotions. Are you in the right frame of mind to move back home? Will staying a few more days at your father's help? Hope you have plenty of sunshine to boost that happy bubbles in your spirit, fresh air, cute animal and a great friend... your day is starting off well, Jimmy.

He broke up with me last week and things are still heavy, talking to mutual friends, hurt feelings etc. but I need to go back home. I need to accept things for what they are. I can't escape reality. I had the chance to do it for a week, and I am super grateful, but it's time to start moving on.... Thanks for you kind words! 1

When home alone, I find it helps to get someone over to talk and distract my mind. I hope you have that source of comfort and friendship near you though, love. LS helps in a way to provide a place for you to write down how you feel but seeking friends is a better method of moving on as they give you a perception like no other. You will get there, it was hell for me too but we'll all grow stronger from this.
Author sugarlove Posted July 12, 2014 Author Posted July 12, 2014 I'm going skydiving Serious?? Oh, I so want to do that! Just have a few more items off my bucket list to tick off first.. just in case.
erklat Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I changed three time zones and I will be recuperating after the trip. But since it is the thread only for newly heartbroken that is out of the question for you. 1
music_and_poetry Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Today: throwing a multi-family garage sale with my friend in an effort to sell some of my junk! Tomorrow: beach with friends (and maybe Monday too!) 1
Elle1975 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Going to the pool in 5 minutes, and to a BBQ at 11am. Then I plan on playing D3 the rest of the day, or maybe drop by my gf's house to get a baby hug from her grandson ..hehe 1

But since it is the thread only for newly heartbroken that is out of the question for you. haha.. Jetsetting around the world? That's living the high life.. I might consider it now actually, since it's been 3 long and arduous months filled with tear stained pillows and tubs of Ben & Jerry's... Not newly heartbroken now... but feeling sad and angry at life is getting kinda stale, even for me.

There is so much I would like to tell him but I don't want to break NC and I also know he is still upset even if he was the dumper. And anyway nothing would change right now so I keep it to myself and if he talks sh*t or act crazy, that is entirely his problem... He broke my heart so I shouldn't care what he might tell or not to other people.

FortunateSon Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 This weekend has me feeling a bit down, it is the first weekend in long while where I have nothing planned and most of my friends are out of town. The thought of solitude is daunting. I will definitely be watching Germany v Argentina tomorrow, but no other set plans. Any other suggestions? 1

That's okay, you've got to get used to the quiet times instead of filling up your calendar so early to distract yourself. It'll hit you less later. I'm all for Germany, only because they went wild the last match with Brazil. Sorry to hear the mates out of town. I used to play a lot of phone game apps. I mean.. a lot. Just to pass time.
