What would you say? I am likely to run I to her and she said I was important, and wanted to remain friends. Fact is, she certainly hasn't acted like it and disappeared. What would you say if you ran into her?

Dumpers generally leave that "let's be friends" idea as an attempt to let you down easier.

If you can avoid contact, avoid it. If you couldn't and happen to run into your ex, I'd keep the conversation as short as possible with no small talk or discussion about each other's life. That is if they try to initiate a conversation with you. If I was in your position, that's what I would do. This is assuming you were dumped and still hurting over the situation.

avoid her if possible, if she called out to me turn my head the other way and act like i didnt see her. if she outright approached me and tried to start a convo I would simply say to her face "I have nothing to say to you" and then walk away.

I am not going to ease her conscience by making five minutes of small talk with her and giving her the impression things are cool between us,.

Won't avoid. I'll acknowledge and then smile and tell them how awesome things has been for me. :) Kill them with kindness and walk away with head held high:cool:

Completely ignore and continue with no contact. I used to be nice and be friends with my exes until I realized I CANT. So no lovey dovey stuff after the break up. Its over shes a stranger. She's done. No acknowledgment.

It's happened to me twice. Both times I acted like I didn't see him. Not sure if he saw me. However, I did almost physically run into his grandma who he was with and she looked at me like I was a demon. Ah well.

It was best not to say anything to each other either way.
