themolkman Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 A few nights ago I went on this date with this girl. Had a pretty good time, and she texted methe next day asking what I thought. I told her I enjoyed the night and I would be up for a second date She asked if I was looking for a relationship and I said well I'm not looking for **** buddies if that says anything She said she wants a happy middle between hook up and relationship, the word relationship scares her. and that its not her way of saying "lets just be friends" sooooooo what is she wanting?
acrosstheuniverse Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Either it's code for Friends with Benefits, or she's genuinely not looking for a serious relationship but wants an emotional component to it too. I might have said something like this myself six or seven months ago after a nasty breakup. That I wasn't specifically looking for a relationship because they made me nervous at that time, but I also wasn't out for a hookup. I would have meant more than I was looking to take it slow and see where it went. Ask her. Only she knows.
d0nnivain Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 There's too much pressure to label things too early. If you enjoy her company, keep seeing her but stop talking about it.
Moonborn Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 It is also entirely possible that she doesn't know what she wants herself. 1
Elle1975 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 While it's an expression usually reserved for females, "get the milk without paying for the cow" is what comes to my mind. That's her happy middle. If you are looking for a serious relationship, that's not it.
Diezel Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Oh who cares, just set a time and a place for the next "hang out". Americans all hung up on semantics... jesus.
