Hi all, been on the forum for a while now, have got a lot of useful advices.

Long story short,

I have been dating this girl for 5 years. We never had any big arguments through out the whole relationship. Except this one time. And she left me two week later, asking for space. She said that we had diff values and goals in life and all other sort of bs.

In the start like everyone I begged and pleaded for about 2 weeks, after that I decided to go NC. A month later I had the chance to catch up with her to return some stuff to her. We talked and clarified a lot of things. She was a lot calmer.

It came down to that, it wasn't any of the issues she said. It was just she was unhappy with me over the argument... We hit a bump in our relationship and she just bailed.. It just came out of the blue. She knows I've changed for the better and there isn't any issue between us.

I suggested that we can give it another go.. I don't expect her to suddenly change her mind overnight. So I said we can start hanging out first just as friends.. She agreed.

Later that night she said it feels awkward to be talking to me again. She said she might be going on a date with some guy next week. Something she never mentioned before. I was shocked that I got strung all along.. If I knew I would've never asked to give it another go.. I told her that I have my boundaries And I don't want to be an option.. She said she's not over me and she's not sure. It's just a distraction for her. She met this guy a week before our talk.

Feels like a GIGS and a rebound

What should I do guys.... :(

Should I try and convince her to give us another go. Or just straight back to NC.

she's not stringing you along if you're hanging out "as friends". this was your suggestion. if you aren't comfortable with her going on dates, then you aren't ready to be "friends" with her.

I guess you are right, my intention is not to be just friends ofcoz. But I guess my question is what should I do now. Just go NC again?

I guess It has to come from her.. Nothing I say or do will change her..

"Convince" her? Really? If you need to convince her of anything, it's really never going to work. She has to want to be with you willingly.

You're trying too hard. For nothing. She's already banging this new dude, but finally had the balls to tell you about it. And believe you, me... her first date will not be with this guy next week. Next week she will being saying shalom to you. For good. Friendzoned forever more.

NC time, my friend.

It has to come from her? Dude. It ALREADY came from her. She's dating another guy.

What else do you need? A fooking piano to land on your oblivious noggin' like a Wile E. Coyote cartoon? Damn...

Yes go NC. She wants space and has decided to pay more attention to the new guy. Give her that space and detach from her, use this time to grieve and try to let go of her.

DO NOT fight for someone who isn't interested anymore. She probably has been seeing or in touch with this other guy much longer than you think.

NC is your best option at the moment, because she decided you're no good enough for her therefore she's dating now....don't be a doormat friend.
