He cares about me more than anyone ever has before, including my family. He says I'm the best girlfriend he could ever want, but one of his ex girlfriends wants to beat me up. They haven't dated in months, but she hates me and thinks I'm a slut. She's never met me, or I her but all the same she wants my face impailed. Should I try and get on her good side or just cower behind my boyfriend/ her old boyfriend?.... Or should I go looking for her to shut her face from trash talking me?

By going after her or confronting her, what you do is give her importance. That's what she wants: not to disapear, reaffirm her importance in both your life. Don't do it. Continue to be happy and ignore her as if she were a flea.

I mean like do they have children together or is there some reason they must keep in contact with each other? I say ignore her. If she threatens you or makes any attempt to contact you and harass you, file charges. She is his past -- the sooner you and your boyfriend put her there the sooner she will accept it and move on herself.
