heart12 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Started chatting up this girl who is very close friends with my ex' sister. Me and her broke up just over a year ago (about 14 months) from an INTENSE relationship (first time we both truly fell in love). Anyways here is the convo...She was telling me she has a stay at home vacation coming up. Me: Tell you what... to make your week more exciting I will take you for a drink one night and we can pretend like we're on vacation Her: hahaha im on a detox actually Me: Oh clever Me: I guess i would settle for coffe Her: hahaha well heres the thing...u dated XXX..so I don't think that would be a genial idea Me: Haha that was a long time ago . Besides it's just a harmless coffee... Her: hahaha fair Me: There's definitely like a past 1.5 year mark where that resets Her: unclear lol Me: So let's experiment Her: ok Me: Sounds like a plan. What's your #? I'll hit you up in a couple days and confirm something Then she didn't answer.... this is all on FB by the way. Was she playing around? Is she buying time to wait and ask my ex sister if it's cool? What's the deal?
d0nnivain Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 If she's really on a detox she can't have caffeine either. She probably saw you with the EX & feels it's too close for comfort. If your EX's sister is her BFF how do you think that's going to play out when you all get together? I see a lot of drama in your future. I'd fish in different waters if I were you.
Author heart12 Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 I mean her sister lives away so not such a big deal and I think the detox thing initially was because she was hesitant about my ex. She hasn't seen us together in nearly a year and a half!
jay1983 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I honestly think she's not that into you. The detox, cafine thing is just an exuse and it may not have a lot to do with your ex. Try and see what happens, then give us a follow up. I call flake. 1
Diezel Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Detox. She's used that excuse before. Why don't you find someone not "related" to that particular social circle?

I guess we'll see if she even answers my last message...she was answer consistently until I asked her for her #. Maybe she's using both as an excuse. Who knows.
Author heart12 Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Haha as I say this she just answered me and sent me her digits. Just took a few hours to send that. Maybe she was thinking/asking her friends but she sent the #.

Author heart12 Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Don't celebrate just yet, let's see how this plays out in the next couple days. Think I will wait a couple days and then ask her for a drink Sunday night. Away during the week and Friday already have a date. Can't do 1st date on a Saturday so going for Sunday. Thoughts?

Send a text or 2, if she doesn't start initiating then she's probably gonna flake.

I've met this girl only a few times in the past (while dating my ex) but there was always a bit of chemistry. If she really wasn't interested then she would have pushed the you dated so and so story more I think.
Author heart12 Posted July 10, 2014 Author Posted July 10, 2014 So I hit this girl up last night.... she answers. I then wait a bit to reply (as she did) and then she doesn't respond. I'm not upset or anything like that but weird as it was a harmless message. Do I try again? I guess she could be testing if I'm actually interested.

Cunning_Linguist Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Meet new women. End of story. It's kinda creepy that you are pursuing someone in the same circle as your ex....on facebook. Are you that desperate that you can't go out and meet new people?
DontBreakEven Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 She's not interested. At all. Sorry. Does that not seem extremely evident?
