Confusedgirl1980 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I broke up with my fiance a little more than a year ago. We were together for 3 years and lived together for most of that time. We had a good relationship but I guess I just got bored or something. I've never tried to get in contact with him but I often look at his facebook and blog to see what he is doing. We were in complete NC. After 5 months he emailed me trying to make small talk. He eventually asked if we could get back together and I declined. In the past 7 months or so I've not heard much from him. An occasional text here and there but nothing too serious. Yesterday I get an email from him with some photos and business papers (tax docs) that he found on his computer. He said he came across these and thought I might need them. I'm not sure if I should respond or just let it go. This is the first time I've heard anything from him in several months. Why would he send me this after more than a year. Is he trying to tell me he has moved on?
zen2475 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I think he was just being considerate in forwarding you the photographs and documents. He may or may not have moved on, but there is nothing indicative of that in his email. He's merely being polite.
d0nnivain Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 If you don't want to get back together with him, a simple thank you is sufficient. Anything more is bread crumbs giving him false hope. 1
Sad26 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Yes don't give him bread crumbs or false hope. This obligation is squarely and firmly on you.
