Put your skills & experience to use, to help me?

 

I am interested in reading a letter that you have written (or plan to write) to your lover to end things. Not to be cruel or hateful, just put things into prospective because they wronged you in some way.

I need this for motivation to walk away from a lover/friend I have been tied to for many months now. (yes, I have numerous threads about him) has taken me a while to learn.

 

I had an epiphany this morning and realized:

 

1. He treats me bad

2. He is selfish

3. Disrespects me

4. Doesn't really want me but wants me to "want" him

5. Plays the victim

6. Doesn't really know how to love

7. He is always searching for someone else and will continue to do so, regardless of who he is with

8. He never was a true friend to me

 

This is not saying I am innocent. I have made mistakes too. I never cheated, never wronged him, but there were times I couldn't understand my own emotions so I did give him mixed signals. But I haven't for a long time now. I have been steady and committed to him.

It's better to break up with somebody in person. It doesn't have to be long or detailed.

 

In your case, I'd sit him down & say something like this:

 

This isn't working for me. I don't feel loved in this relationship. It's been going on for a while & I don't see any hope that it will get better

so

I think it's best if we just go our separate ways.

 

Then leave. There's no need to list all of his flaws. To do so would simply be mean.
