Ever gotten jealous seeing an old photo of your spouse/other with someone?

This is inspired by a letter I saw written in one of those "Ann Landers" type columns the other day. A man who has been married for 30 years to his wife stumbled on a picture of her when she was 19. Just an innocent picture of her strolling along the beach holding the hands of her then boyfriend. She was young, slim, cute and youthful of course. It was after this time that he met her. He said he was actually a bit jealous seeing the picture. Even though they weren't together then. It was seeing a really young picture of his wife that made him a bit jealous. It was crazy and he knew this but it bothered him a lot.

 

Anyway, does anyone have a story like that? The best one I can think of is a picture I saw of my wife at one time, although I had a different reaction than this guy.

 

My wife was pretty innocent in high school but when she was 20, 21 she hit the bars with some friends often. I met her when she was 22. They did stuff that young girls would do at that time, no big deal. She even told me that she can remember a time when there were a couple pictures taken of her that she never wanted me to see. I guess she's sitting with a friend of one of her friends, they were probably drinking, and he's got his hand down her shirt. I eventually stumbled on the picture at her friend's house at one point. I didn't care, I knew it was before we met but I will admit one thing, I was sort of turned on by it to an extent.

 

This guy was sitting next to my wife and groping her in the picture. She had this surprised look on her face. Apparently the rest of the night this guy was trying to get into her pants the whole time and she wouldn't let him. But he copped a feel or two and it just so happened that a couple pictures captured it. No big deal, just a fun time and no harm no foul. But for some reason I've always been turned on by it, just in a fantasy-type of way.

 

However I am grateful that I was less eager and blunt than this guy because I think my wife liked that because it let us get to know each other first, and the rest is history. But the picture still sort of turned me on.

 

Anyway, any other stories like this?

Here is my story, I mentioned it on another thread briefly:

 

I was digging through some boxes in the kitchen of me and my girlfriends house at the time. I stumbled upon some pictures of her and her last guy in the act of passionate sex in front of a mirror.

 

I was surprised that what I felt was not jealousy and hurt, but instead arousal of a variety that was very powerful. I was trembling. She looked so hot. She was just enjoying herself completely and that turned me on. But the tinges of jealousy were still there, it seemed to actually enhance the experience in a strange and erotic way. The woman that I LOVE was enjoying herself in a naughty way that was with another guy.

 

I remember she then came in and found me looking at the pictures and wanted to hide them because she was afraid I would be devastated by it. I just said "ya, maybe you should just put those away.", and there I was wondering to myself "ok, were is this wave of pain that I am supposed to be feeling right now?"-it just was not there.

 

Later on she had to hide those photos. She found them laid out on our bed after I forgot to put them away one time lol. It was like noooooo, don't take away my porn!

My husband is gone until the end of July. I'm taking care of his affairs while he is gone. While looking for his passport, I stumbled across a picture of his ex wife, him and her children. I got mad I didn't become jealous. What I did next is controversial, but it's what I did. I destroyed the picture. I don't think he will notice, but if he does I will face that consequence.

If it was his ex-wife and HER kids and him, yeah I can see it. If it is his ex-wife and THEIR kids I wouldn't have ripped it up. Either way you slice it, the man has roots for the next 100 years with this woman (if she is the mother of his kids I mean). You have to face that. If they aren't his kids, that's a different story though of course.
