Hey guys,

I am wondering about this for ages:

- Do long-term relationships even exist?

- Do people still meet each other in their teenage years and end up being together for 5-?? years?

Makes me sad it doesn't happen more often... possibly due to social media =/

Yes they still exist.

Several of my friends are still dating (and going to marry) their high school sweethearts after 7+ years. I am too :)

Yes they do.

However, I'm not sure about idolizing meeting in one's teenaged years.

You can have longterm relationships where you didn't start dating as teens.

IMO, I would not have liked to be in a serious relationship since I was a teen. In my own circle of friends, I don't know anyone who is with someone they dated since high school...except one friend in a very dysfunctional relationship with her HS bf. But I do know several long term relationships where they met in college or later on in life.
