I met with this girl from class this past semester and this past week I schedule a day for us to play tennis, and we played for about an hour and half to two hours. After that we took a break and began talking about things in particular different sports we like. After that we walked to a coffee shop and we were talking then, she began telling me about herself. She was like "to let you know I can be little goofy and sarcastic at times." I was a bit surprised because girls I have met never told me about themselves straight up. Then we talked for a while at the cafe and she offered me some over her drink but I didn't want to drink off the same straw. After that we departed and she had her arm out for hug so I gave her one.

I did not expect our day to do like this, I thought we were going to play tennis and that would be it. I do have interest in her but I feel nervous to take it to that level (for a date in other words). When we met during the school semester, she used to always sit next to me and she is the one who asked for my number.

What did you want her to do? Play tennis and not make any conversation afterwards. I don't think she wants to get married or anything. Maybe she is a little interested.

She does seem a little forward so if you don't like girls like that why go out with her? Now it seems like you're judging her for it.

I'm not judging her its just I never experienced it.

"Not make any conversation afterwards"

Trust me I have met people who done this and never heard from them again.

What next step? THIS was a date, OP. Straight and simple. If you want a SECOND date, you have to take the initiative and ask her out again. Otherwise, she will think you're just not interested and things might just fizzle.

I never thought it was a date. When I think of a date I think of dim lighting at a dinner table. A romantic kind of setting.

Well chances are SHE thought it was a date.

Congrats :)

Now ask her on another.

Dates come in all sorts of shapes & sizes & activities. Ask her for a second date. She could not have made it clearer to you unless she hot you over the head with the tennis racket.

Good too know. I will for sure ask her out again, I had fun with her.

OP you seem terribly naive.

This was a date.

You watch too many movies about what you think a date is.

Anyway, Don't change anything. Keep being aloof, and naive, and let her do all the talking, and it should work out fine

I personally think she likes you very much, since she offered you to drink some of her coffee. You should have done so, and not be a pansy about it
