jesha Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 What does it take for someone with commitment issues to commit? Do they ever? Share your experiences and stories, please!
oldshirt Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I really think the whole concept of "commitment issues" is a huge misnomer created by the Bridget Jones's of the world. I don't think it actually exists. I don't think anyone actually has any commitment issues, they just don't want to commit to that particular person. If they were with someone they wanted to commit to, they would. 1
d0nnivain Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 It can take time . . . the person needs to grow. As a 20 something the last thing I cared about was marriage & happily ever after. I don't know that somebody magically wakes up inside a relationship & thinks now I'm ready but for some people I suppose marriage & kids are just the next logical steps. If you are in a relationship with somebody who tells you they don't want to get married, believe them. Don't try to change them
