Has anyone ever had a rough start to a relationship and then have it work out?

My one relationship that was a rough start didn't work out. It was by far the most passionate of them all and I wish it had worked out but nope

The best thing that ever happened to me started rough. It ended recently, and im very heart broken. If you can stick with each other through something rough even in the beginning, i feel like it makes it a little better.

DH didn't kiss me until our 3rd date. I considered that a rough start & was convinced he didn't like me.

I must be the exception to the general rule but for me it's quite the opposite..Two of the worst first dates (make that 3-4 dates in the space of 2 weeks - month) have lead to two of the best and longest relationships I've ever had. On the other hand, things usually haven't worked out when we got off to a good start (Never passed the 3month milestone).
