rdons1 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Me and this girl have been friends for a while we rarely see eachother but talk a lot online and through text. She had feelings for me at one point but not anymore. I always jokingly tell her how we should date and how wed be perfect together and she knows im joking around. I recently asked her to go see a movie with me and she said yes. Only problem is want this to be an actual date and see where it could go. I don't know what she wants I never really specified what it was so to her it might just be casually going to see a movie. Should I tell her my intentions? Or should I just treat it like a date and see what happens. side note Last year she told me that she was thinking about inviting me over for sex because she was tired of being a virgin. So clearly there must be some attraction Edited June 22, 2014 by rdons1
ktya Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Tough one. First, while a movie is a classic date thing it kind of sucks because your not talking to eachother. The old yawn and arm trick could get you nowhere as she considers you her friend and might not mind which wouldnt tell you much. Second in a situation like this your going to have to risk it all. Your going to have to try to kiss her. It might piss her off and ruin the friendship or she might get all confused which is ideal. Doubtful she will just go for it but you can always hope. Good news is you know she used to want you. You dont get that kind of intel on a normal date. I dont know, but id use a line like "you know, theres something ive always wanted to try... Just to see.". Then kiss her. If she flips you can say you just wanted to know if there was spark. If she gets confused you can play off of it and say "that was way better than id always imagined it" and if she goes for it well your in like flynn. Get those kahunas polished and ready because your gonna need them.

Yea I know movies suck but there's an ice-cream place right next to the theatre so ill probably take the "date" there after the movie so we can actually talk

fifipheebs Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 dont bother with the movie idea. the other posters are correct, it doesnt lead to conversation which is what you want. show her your fun side. go to an amusement park or see if there are free things to do in the city. explore a part of the city you both have never been to. keep it fun and moving. let it get romantic when you have dinner. play footsies under the table. tease. be flirty. see how she reacts to it. if she goes with it, plays along, bingo, she wants to advance it from friendship to more than friends.
Assasda Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 How old are you guys? Sounds pretty young. Also, what is your relationship like. Does she tell you about her dates, and guys she likes? I was thinking that you may have already friendzoned yourself, by just being a wuss 1
