Potz4prez Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 A shortened text correspondence after exchanging numbers online: >Hey, derp, it's Potz. [...] How's 4 or 5 tomorrow? >[...]I have a game tomorrow at 2. I'd be pressed to make it somewhere by 5 depending on where u wanna go. >[...]We could meet before, how does brunch sound?[...] >Aww man I can't... I know my schedule is busy too. I'm sorry :/. I do love that place. Just left it at that cause I really don't feel like bothering. This never happens with girls I meet IRL, and I'm new to this online dating stuff. She never offered any alternatives, so I'm assuming she's not all that interested... but then why exchange numbers in the first place? It's not like IRL when you're kinda put on the spot. I hope this doesn't happen often to ya'll.
TXGuy Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 With her first response, it sounds like she would have been fine with 6 or 7pm. Maybe even 5, depending on where you wanted to go (I don't think you responded to that. I got the impression she implicitly offered a later time, but maybe I'm mistaken. Overall, you might be right. Flakeyness seems to be a little higher with old than with social circle irl. But I found a higher degree of flakiness with chatting up strangers irl and getting a number. 1
Assasda Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Be water man. Go with the flow. What you need to do is send her a tesxt that says "Contact me whenever you have time and want to go out and have fun" -Then never contact her again. Then move on to other girls, cant invest too much time in a dead end man. Just dont do it, dont let it faze you 1

LostOnes05 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Just curious as to what site you met her on. And I had the same issue a while back with flakiness! Gotta just keep moving!!
Author Potz4prez Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 Not bothered at all. And it was on POF.
LostOnes05 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Yea man! I haven't had a great experience with OLD. Lots of fakes, flakes, and people who just want attention.
spiderowl Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Sometimes people will be offputting and offering no alternative because they don't want one. Sometimes they will not offer an alternative because they are poor communicators and think things are going to happen by magic somehow!
