A thank you to everyone here, plus some inspiring reading for the heartbroken

About two months ago, I posted on here about how I was on the outs with my girlfriend about many of things and had considered breaking up with her. We eventually talked it out, and decided to stay together after almost leaving.

 

Yesterday, however, she decided to initiate the break-up. I feel probably very similar to how many feel on this forum... lost, confused, scared, and alone.

 

When I returned home, I initiated no contact immediately. Took her off my buddy list, my phone, and I packed up any memories I had of her. Part of me hopes that in time she will contact me and may want to get back together. But I can't waste time with hoping. No contact is for me, so I can deal with my pain, without knowing what my new ex is up to all the time.

 

I wanted to thank those who responded to my prior post months ago, as well as everyone here in general. I still log in to read everyone's stories and replies and I am applying coping advice to my situation. All of you are great.
