I feel so bad =( Yesterday for Valentines day my Boyfriend of 8 months called me at work and left me a message saying happy valentines day and I can't wait to see you tonight, which was so sweet, so I called him back and said thank you that was so sweet and he said he wasn't sure when he was getting off work but he'd call me as soon as he did. So he called me at about 7:10 and I headed over to his place. Anyways, I stopped at the store on the way over for a V-day card for him but there were none left! So i ended up not getting him anything =( I thought to myself that it wouldn't be a big deal cause I didn't think he was gonna get me anything but I show up at his place and he had gotten me this HUGE incredibly beautiful bouquet of flowers, i mean they were so big, it was atleast 2 feet tall and it had a note that said "Happy Valentines Day Sweetie, I love you" I was so shocked, it was so sweet. I kept telling him over and over again how badly I felt about not getting him anything and how much I loved the flowers and he said don't worry about it. I felt so horrible. I love him with all heart and I feel like I let him down. Do you guys think I should feel bad? I mean V-day has never really meant anything to me so I've never really done much for it. Do you think it's more of a girls holiday? I mean like the guys are supposed to get girls something and not so much girls getting guys? When I woke up this morning at his place I wrote him a 2 page note about how much I loved him and how glad I am that he's in my life and I left it in his bathroom for him to read when he woke up so I hope he knows how much I love him. Do you think I should feel like crap about this?

You have more than made up for it. V Day is important to men only to the extent that they make their significant other feel special. He got the greatest gift which was your excitement and apprecation. Please trust me on this as I quite a sensitive guy and if it would not bother me...then it would not bother most. The note you left is the cherry on top. As long as you are communicating your care for him, he is getting the best gift of all.
