AnneT1985 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Hey y'all! So as you might know from previous posts I love to send people cards and gifts for occasions, or just thinking of you or to express thanks. It's my way of communicating kindly. Thing is (at least this was my perception) a family member actually complained I sent their birthday card "too early" and "I notice you feel compelled to send thank you cards for absolutely everything". I was a bit hurt by that to be honest! What do y'all think about this? Should I keep on doing what I do? Thanks so much! xx
Art_Critic Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 What do y'all think about this? Should I keep on doing what I do? They are being a jerk... and NO stop sending them.. I would never send them one again, if they cannot accept a nice card send with a happy meaning as something to be loked upon as 'just a nice thing to do' and feel good about it then they don't deserve your niceness... Some people just amaze me....
Haydn Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Next time they are sick send them a 'get well slowly' card. 1
carhill Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Yep, keep doing what you do and replace that family member with a more loving and appreciative soul.
MoreCoffee Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 They feel guilty for not doing the same and are projecting. 1
mammasita Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Ugh, I admit, I get annoyed easily....but I would never complain about kind gestures. If it were me, I would go out of my way to send cards for any and every occasion to that relative....early LOL. 2

I don't think we can corrupt Anne, tho. No messing with her, y'all. 2

Or just randomly send a happy birthday card every month. Ok I'll stop LOL Keep doing what you do OP. Don't mind that "negative Nellie" relative. 2
