Lipitor11 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 My friend asked if I paralleled park near his place, so I replied, "no, I didn't, it's not considered parallel parking." Which was true, because I just pulled up behind a car on the side of the street. Now, I'm thinking it came off with an attitude? Or am I looking way into this?

Unless you have a history of being overly sarcastic or your friend has a history of being hypersensitive, I don't really see how it could've come off as rude. Unless of course you're worried about maybe seeming rude by subtly correcting his misuse of the term 'parallel parking'
iiiii Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Depends how you said it. It is abrupt, and if you said it in a snappy way, it could certainly be rude.
FitChick Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 It was parallel parking because you parked parallel to the curb. Doesn't matter if there wasn't a car behind or in front of you. Can't fathom why your friend used that term instead of just asking where you parked!
