pens1863 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Does anyone have any tips on how to build some rapport with a waitress in a restaurant and potentially get her phone number. I understand that they are working and are supposed to be nice to you, but I still would like to try it without looking like a complete ass. I see so many nice women I would like to talk to in restaurants, but I don't know how to go about it. Can it even be done? Has anyone ever tried it and what was the outcome?

You're one of a faceless myriad that are going to try and do the same exact thing. There are too many women out there you can meet while they are not on the job. Go find them. Leave the waitress alone. 2
iPhone Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Yeah, don't hit on servers and bartenders. It can be done successfully, but you should probably just play the lottery and become a millionaire and get a bunch of attractive girls that way -- that's probably the more likely scenario.

Then you ask her where she hangs out. Then you might want to ask her for her number. You'd have to build some rapport with her, be the life of the party, its definately not impossible

If I wasn't asking for your #, I had no interest in dealing with you when there wasn't a chance you were going to tip me. If you must, make some inquiries about whether the person has a BF. Literally say something not so subtle like "How does you BF feel about you working here & getting hit on by guys like me?" Her answer will tell you whether you are just a customer or if you have a shot. Before you try to date her make sure you will be OK with her getting hit on by guys like you. 1
