PersonaPersona Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 I swear, there must be some kind of sixth sense that dumpers have that tell them that the dumpee is finally starting to pull away. To me, at this point it is just hilarious because it happens every. single. time. Every time I start to busy myself with other things like, start to look at colleges to visit later this summer, reconnect with friends, make plans, focus on my studies etc. Thats when my ex likes to shoot a quick breadcrumb and it's usually something stupid that he can find somewhere else. For example: "Hey, I know this is random but would you be willing to help me out with my computer?" Seriously. Really? Am I the only one that thinks an alarm starts to go off in a dumpers head when the dumpee finally starts to pull away? Coincidence, I think not.
Mistercash Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Yep. It been 3 weeks NC and everyday I've been getting better and trying to get over the breakup. But yesterday, as I laying on the couch, my ex calls. I was like what the hell?
FrostBlaze Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 The only reason this topic has caught my attention is because i think of it the same way. I just don't understand it, some kind of 6th sense. Everytime i forget a X and find some new love interest or just move on. POW BREADCRUMB, and i start reminescing. Then i forget again, and as soon as i DO. Like day one of not thinking of her at all. POW breadcrumb xD.

It's like when you see their number on your phone, you're just like UGH. Did you pick up though? (Hopefully not)

It's like they notice that you're moving on so they come up with an excuse to contact you.

Did you pick up though? (Hopefully not) I looked at her number across the screen and a rush went through my body. I laughed. I ignored the call. After that, I walked around the house like "wow!"
zhaulk Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 this is totally true...every time I go a week or two without speaking to my ex she finds a way to say something to me. It's really frustrating because I want to say don't talk to me, but I don't want her to know it bothers me.
jordanr1994 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 SO TRUE 2.5 months NC, still thinking about her a lot though. Today i woke up and just said im not thinking about her anymore and would just pinch myself when my thoughts started to wonder. Get a text this evening from the ex. So weird 1
Ordinaryday Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 it works with some dumpers, it doesnt work with others. I personally make sure that on the moment they dump me to be really nasty to them, say some really horrible things so they WILL NEVER EVER CONTACT ME AGAIN cos they remember how rude I was to them when they dumped me. I don't care if this is immature or not being the bigger person or whatever, it works for me, I KNOW I will never hear from them again cos I was nasty to them and told them in no uncertain terms "don't ever (swearword) contact me again!". I prefer this approach to sitting around hoping for a breadcrumb
Elle1975 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 I like this song they have been playing on the radio. Here are a few of the lyrics, and that's the way I feel about past relationships. You heard from your friends That I'm doing okay And you're thinking, maybe you made a mistake And you want me to know But I don't wanna know If you want the song: So they might have had a light going off, but I got one too. Mine was a green light, and I moved forward.
