(Once at 3:22 am and the second time at 3:26 am) I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing the 2nd time he called me. Could it be pocket-dialing? This is not a long article to read: Pocket dialing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia My first name begins with an "S", and the letter S is close to the end of the alphabet. I don't know if I'm the last in his contacts list. Could pocket-dialing happen twice with only 4 minutes apart per call? Or does pocket-dialing usually only happen once? (He called me twice- at 3:22 am and a 2nd time 4 minutes later at 3:26 am) My phone log says he called me at 3:22 am and 3:26 am. When the phone rung at 3:22 am, I was asleep. When he called again at 3:26 am, that's when I woke up. The phone was ringing when I woke up. I didn't answer it. Was this likely to be pocket dialing or likely to be intentional?
TXGuy Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 You will never know unless you ask (and that is no guarantee). Some other options...it might have been unintentional, but not technically a pocket dial. For instance, it is pretty easy to unintentionally dial a number while scrolling through contacts, especially if you are drunk. And how often are you up at 3:30 am without at least a buzz. That would explain the first short ring, but not the second long ring.

He probably dialed my number at 3:22 & 3:26 am because he thinks I won't answer the phone at that time. Or maybe he wanted to get my attention. He sent me a text 3 weeks ago and I didn't reply because I didn't know what to say. I wasn't prepared yet. But I miscalled his number like 4-5 times for the past few weeks after he sent me that text. (I dialed his number and I hang up after 2 rings) Then for a full week, I didn't do that anymore. Then suddenly, he calls me twice (at 3:22 am and 3:26 am). I don't know how long the phone was ringing when he dialed my number the 2nd time because I awoke when the phone was ringing. When I looked at my phone log, I was excited when I saw that he dialed my number twice with only 4 min between the 2 calls and I hoped it wasn't an accident. "uh yeah....you called me" I've totally done some stupid on accident pocket dialing myself, just done more 3 am drunk dialing. lol

Author cherries9999 Posted June 30, 2014 Author Posted June 30, 2014 If it was an accident, why did it happen twice? (the 2nd dial occurring only 4 minutes later) I dialed people's numbers by accident, but it only happened once per day. It never happened twice within the same hour.
