So I'm pretty dense when it comes to this stuff so please bear with me.

Ok there's this guy, he's my brothers friend that I find fairly attractive and get along with really well. I don't really see him to often. But I was at a party at my neighbours on Saturday and he was there. He didn't say much to me at the start of the night, but after a few drinks he invited me over to play a game on his team. After that we kept talking, joking around, drinking, played more games, yada yada. When it came to the end of the night he turned to me and asked "Can I sleep in your bed again tonight?" (We had previously months back went to a bar with my brothers and he ended up getting back to the house later than us and crawled into my bed. Nothing happened but I didn't know he was there till the morning). Since I was drinking and was smitten by him I said yes. There was no sex but other stuff happened. He got up in the morning and went down for breakfast with the family and had to leave, all before I got out of bed.

I like him, and would like to hang out again sometime. But am actually fighting with myself on if I should message him. Not about what happened but just friendly chatter, but I don't know if he'd be weirded out, think I'm needy or something.

So should I message him or don't worry about it? And how long should I wait before messaging him if I did? I think he has my number to, should I just hold off and see if he does?

Please just tell me if I'm being dumb hahah.

The current dynamic of your interactions -- notice I didn't say relationship -- are that if you text him or call him or do anything to initiate -- you are chasing him. He clearly knows where you find you & he knows that he can get a place to sleep plus some "benefits" simply by asking, without dating you & without strings. If you want a relationship, you have to stop giving it away & making it easy.
