Michael 93 Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 That is Just It....THANK YOU... From the person who created the page, the moderators, the veterans, the newbies, I'm talking ALL of the people who contribute on here and take time out of there lives to help one another.. It is absolutely commendable and you should ALL be proud of yourselves.. I can only speak for myself here when I say without you Guys I know for certain I wouldn't be here where I am today, and for that Thank You SO Much. We have all come to a difficult point in our lives to come onto this site but without it I would never of made it this FAR. I didn't even know of the NC rule and things like that. I came here as a young man broken hearted feeling like the loneliest person in the world... I am still here, however I am no longer lonely. I have met some of the most inspirational people from all walks of the world and you have no idea how much I am grateful for your support. You should all be extremely proud of yourselves. And I know this topic doesn't fit into this category (mods) but I think we all deserve a huge Thank You to know that with your help you are easing someone else's pain and giving them the courage to get up and fight. Personal shout out to Chi also.. You opened up with regards to your story for my benefit something that I can see rarely happens around here anymore. For That I would like to say Thanks Man.. Next Time I'm in Chicago I owe you a beer. Mike 10
Michelle ma Belle Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 How refreshing Thanks for the lovely posting. 1
Chi townD Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Dude, there's no thanks necessary. YOU put in the work, we didn't. I remember when you first came here and you were a big mess and hard headed. And you made a LOT of stupid, boneheaded, idiotic mistakes! A LOT OF THEM! But, you finally recognized them and you corrected them yourself! Now, look at you! Your writing is calm, you sound great and in a better place (you might not be completely there yet. But, I have a feeling it's in sight). I have a feeling that if anyone comes on here that's hurting and they look up your threads and read through your story and actually SEE the progress you've made, I think that it might inspire them. And that's something that YOU did, not us. So, any new folks on here reading this right now. Do a search on Mike's threads and read his story. Normally, when folks get to the level of healing that you're at, they end up leaving us. They found they're standing on their own two feet and they get back to there lives with the tools they've learned here to make their lives even better. And that's the way it should be! Us veterans only hang around to help people with their healing and get them back on there feet. I don't need to be here at all! I could easy not come back, walk away from here. My life is great; awesome actually. I don't need advice and I'm in a great marriage. But, I wasn't always like that. I got burned and I got burned pretty hard. But, I healed and I like coming here to see other heal and take back there lives (just like you did). I strongly encourage you to stick around. Continue your story. Post your successes and your adventures. INSPIRE PEOPLE!!! That's my challenge to you! You're doing great, dude! But, you still need to go to PARIS!!!! I'm still waiting to hear about that trip!!! 3
