Yeah go ahead and laugh .:p

Me and my boyfriend look alike. We are both tall , skinny, and lightskinned and we keep being told that we look like siblings! Ugh so annoying. It's starting to bother me because I staring at our pictures and keep looking back and forth and it such a turn off at times.

Anyone else been in this situation? It's like "You're my boyfriend and I love you!" but sometimes it's like "We do look alike =| This is weird" kind of thing.

I used to have a huge crush a on a girl that basically could have been me if I was a girl.

Don't worry about it.

As long as he has parts that you don't, everything is fine.

The longer you're together, the more you look like each other. It's true :)

My SO and I frequently eat at this restaurant. One day, the boss came to us and said, "are you two siblings or married? You two look so alike!" We both have big eyes, tall nose, and pointed chins...but to be honest, I don't think we look THAT alike lol... but others see the similarities. And they also observe the little things that we do and the expressions that we make. We mirror each other

There's some broscience or theory that claims the most compatible couples tend to look like each other.

I say this is hogwash, but there could be some truth to it.

You guys sound like an awesome couple. I'm jelly.

ROFL, what??

I don't know if we look alike. Our bodies definitely don't, mine is soft with curves, and his is hard and lean. But aside from that... our faces, maybe a few similarities? Heck, I guess all East Asians look alike to most people, so the point is moot. :lmao:

Why does it turn you off?

Sounds like fun to me. You could go around pretending you're siblings and then give each other long kisses on the lips just to freak people out.

Heh no. I like men that look very different from me. Never go for the blonde/blue eyed boys much nowdays.

there is a saying in Italian which basically means that if you look alike your partner you are intended to be together.

i remember with my first BF lot of people were telling us we had similar features.... we broke up after 5 years though. :o

No way! that would be gross for me personally.

It always looks weird for me to see couples that look alike (aside from Asian people whom look relatively the same to me still) and then they have kids that look the same too, like one big cloned family ;)

Come on people, don't be afraid to mix up the gene pool a little bit...interracial mixing to the reeesscuuueee!

I've heard this theory before as well and some couples definitely do act alike and pick up the same mannerisms and actions.

Never really happened to me. I'm dark haired and brown eyed and strongly prefer blondes and blue/green eyes for a start. I've also got fairly pale skin and much prefer someone with a bit of a tan.

I like to think it's a genetic drive for diversity. Reality is I'm just another red blooded male who has no problem admitting that the stereotype tanned blue eyed blonde is what I like best!

Funny deal. My wife had four brothers when we were dating, and more than once I was mistaken for one of them. Same height, build, and coloring. I didn't give it a whole lot of thought, but when I did it seemed a little creepy.

This seems to be true. Happens to me. As long as she is not built like a brick privy and has an uneven fringe.

This is more common than you'd imagine. People tend to pair up with people who are similar. Including names!! My H and I have very very similar nicknames. But he looks Asian and I look white.

lmao

Anyway, a lot of people choose companions who look like them.

I dated a girl for a while that people kept thinking was my sister. Usually other dudes. I didn't think she looked like me at all. We weren't even the same race. I'm mixed Asian/white, she was full on Latina. I didn't think she looked like either of my sisters too.

She had the same complexion as me, kinda close to hair color, although my hair is pretty much black, while she was dark brown. Lean and in shape. That was about it really. But people see similarities and just assume. Although I think most of the dudes were hoping I was just her brother.

Nope...I've never dated a man who looks like me. No one has ever mentioned that with any man I've dated.

But I have seen couples who look alike.

There are some theories which suggest that were inclined to date people with similar physical traits to us. It's something to do with genetic desires of what we'd like out children to look like. If you really like the guy though don't let this put you off. Good luck.
