chicabonita Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Hey, I'm wondering if you all can giive me some advice. I went out a couple times with this guy who's from my city (Boston) but currently lives down in Florida, for the time being. He was in Boston for a little while visiting his family and friends for the holidays. Anyways, we went out a few times, we have some mutual friends in common, that's how we met. Now he's back in florida but we've been emailing once or twice per week. I'm pretty chatty and always write fun, witty messages, he always writes back but his emails are much shorter than mine. He usually ends his notes with a question for me, even a small one, so it seems like he wants me to write back and keep up the exchange. I jsut get weirded out by how his messages are shorter and to the point. Is this just me reading too much into it? I know guys - in general - aren't quite as chatty. He wouldn't write back if he wasn't interested, right? So should I just relax? Any words of wisdom much appreciated....
DinNJ Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 yes, you're reading into this toooo much. He may feel a lil' awkward cause' now he's 1800 miles away... probably likes chattin' with you but doesn' wanna get TOO serious and deep right now.
Hund1976 Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Maybe he's just trying to keep you interested so he can have a Boston Booty call the next time he goes home to visit. I'm in the military and have met girls when I was home on leave and I knew we weren't really going to have a relationship because I lived 2,000 miles away, but I always figured I could try to keep in touch and then we could hang out the next time I was home if they were still single.
chicabonita Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Wel, the thing is, he'll probably be back in Boston permanently at some time in the future, it's not definite, but a strong possibility. So that's why I thought that the continued contact was a positive sign...
