JSlost Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 So got this girls number a few weeks ago. I had gotten it through a friend after she gave me some signals that she might be interested. I didnt ask for it, it was given to me when I brought up something about her. I texted her the following day just with a "Hey its X I got your number from Y and wanted to see if I could give you a call tomorrow evening." she responded with a yes, said where she was and I said great, ill talk to you tomorrow. So I called her and she was busy, she text ed me back literally as I was leaving a voice mail saying she was busy and she would call me back. Never got the call. She sent me a text the following morning saying she got overloaded and ended up passing out. I told her no problem and that I would call her that evening. she said she would be out but would be able to take the call. So I called her and no answer, about 4 hours later she sent me a text saying her phone was almost dead so couldn't answer and if i was still away, I texted back but never heard back. At this point my interest level started to wonder. waited through the next morning and eventually shot her a text message to inquire about meeting up some time as calling wasn't going anywhere. ended up having a long text conversation with her all day into the night till she fell asleep. We started texting for long periods of time, and this past weekend after asking if we could meet up she said "definitely next week" so monday passes by and I dont hear from her, so I send her a message "hey wanted to see what we could do about meeting up this week" now she says shes going out of town for the week. she texted me once more after that in which I responded and then hasn't texted me back since, that was yesterday morning. First off I know I shouldnt be having a long text convo with a girl, especially before a first date, I attribute that lack of judgment to my swaying interest after two phone calls. second I know I should have just stopped right there and waited for her to get in touch with me. been out of the texting/dating game for about 2 years now so forgot a lot of the do/ and do not's messages from her, were mainly questions about me, things I usually reserve for a first date and all the talking and getting to know people, I only reciprocated with a few (3-4) but tried to avoid them. girl was pretty interesting though, pissed at myself for slipping up, anyone think there is still a shot or just time to delete her number?
