How should I lie about my age in order to date older women?

I'm realistically almost turning 19 and I feel that I've been having so many failures with online dating. The closest I came to a date was with a 26 year old but she thought twice after I told her I was only 18 and we couldn't meet.

To be honest, I feel like I'd rather have older women than younger women. That is one of the biggest reasons I use online dating. Prior to this, I didn't have any female friends that were more than 2 years older than me.

My age preference range is 20-30 and 25 is the age I want the most. In other words, I want a woman around 7 years older than me.

Lying about your age is a very bad idea.

It's more than just changing the number of years. There's a lot more to be kept up with.

Hope no one sees your ID. Hope she doesn't ask if you remember events that actually occurred before you were born. Hope she doesn't want to go to a bar or club with you, cause you won't get in. Hope you can keep up with the lies, and remember the lies you made. Discrepancies always show themselves. You'll have to create a massive web of lies about your life.

An ex of mine lied about his age. He couldn't keep up with his own lies, I found the discrepancies, and his lie was revealed.

You'll be in a heck of a lot more trouble if you lie to a woman and she finds out.

You're better off trying to go for women just a little younger than your current target.

Lying in an OLD profile is one of the biggest OLD sins you can commit. If you're willing to lie about something on a little profile, what else will you have no problem lying about?

And at your age, there is a HUGE difference in trying to date women even a few years older than you. Often you're looking at women out of school, starting their lives, etc. You're YOUNG. Get out there and find some women. Go to school. Whatever.

Lying about anything is a bad idea. A woman who finds out her partner lied to her about something fundamental about him is not going to trust him in future.

100 % agree with this ^^!! I hate it when guys lie to me about their age. That pretty much tells me they've lied about everything else. Totally destroys my trust (and once my trust is gone, it's gone forever).

Yep. Don't lie about it. You can choose not to bring it up. But don't lie about it. Unless you just want to hook up for a night or two but if that's the case, she's probably not all that interested in that particular quantitative measurement... ;-)

it is just not right to lie, its not something that if you wanted a serious relationship you would do .

If they ask change the subject quick and tell them ... how awesome ice cream would be right now.

... because that will make you seem older and more mature! ;)

If all you care about is getting "a date" with an older woman and you don't care about it going south when she discovers you've lied to her, then go ahead and lie.

But if your point is to find someone with whom you connect at some level - any level - then lying destroys that right out of the gate, and you've cut your own throat.

What you want is to find someone in your desired age range who is interested in being with someone of your age. This necessarily narrows the field, and you can't change that fact by lying about your age. As a matter of fact, since it's a smaller field you are marketing to, you'll have to get busy, and the only real way to have any hope of success as you define it - contrary to what you are suggesting - is to be honest and upfront about who you are and what you're looking for.

I have never lied about my age but considering i have lied in the past about lesser concerns, i forgive lies, if there's fear to tell the truth, been there done that, my dad used to justify strapping the hell out of because he used to get the razor strop for not buying his father cigarettes, i honestly didn't see the correlation, because my lie was to keep a little pet mouse called ben hidden in a sewing box,had nothing whatsoever to do with disobeying a fathers command, all in all, he was just pissed my siamese cat went nuts and knocked over a bottle of very expensive wine to get to my houdini mouse who hid behind the fridge

so therefore he strapped the hell out of me for the broken bottle and wasted money took a week to sit down and red zebra stripes that bruised my back and bum for quite a few weeks after.....they were easily hidden i am always a girl who wears layers.

doesn't mean i justify lying in myself or others,or justify a punishment because i was punished severely for lying, i just know often there's a reason and that reason is fear and i am forgiving of that fact.I can't not forgive .....its not really fair to hold a person unforgivable when you have done a similar mistake, we all sin....I think its just best not to lie to avoid a consequence far less satisfying and quite damaging to you personally, zebra stripes as consequences sometimes, cant be so easily hidden not every one has layers to protect damages caused by punishment for questionable lying or the art of omission which is what i did as a child

parfait, parfait has layers.
....donkey in shrek..cheers...just be truthful saves consequence.............deb

dont try to be older before you actually are. Because when you get older, you will wish you were younger again.

Live in this moment, if someone is older than you and doesn't want to date, then its ok, you have a lot of time to get to where you want to be.

Don't miss whats in front of you right now. You may regret it later.

Yes I think I'm OK.

I walked into the door again.

If you ask that's what I'll say...

It's not your business anyway.

This makes me cry, deb.

cheers...just be truthful saves consequence.............deb

And - other than cases where you're desperately protecting your own safety - generally sticking with the truth means you don't have to constantly remember "what the story is."

Don't lie about your age. No good will come of it. Most will find out.

While many women 20-30 have no interest in dating a 19 year old you may find some who do. Best to date someone who is dating you knowing the truth than someone you're manipulating into it. How would you feel if a 17 year old told you she was 25 so you'd date her, forget the fact that lots of things won't add up so you'd probably be suspicious. Likewise, how old do you plan on saying you are? I can't see that working out...you and a 25 year old woman who thinks you're 25 are headed to a bar or some such and come to find out when you show your ID you can't get in and it's discovered you're not even 21...that would be insane!

Why do you want to date older women anyway?

I don't get why at 19 you need to OLD at all. I am sure the reason you are not getting dates your age on there is because most go to school and meet tons of people IRL so not many are on those sites. Take advantage of that NOW because when you are a bit older and in a career, you'll get busy and be working with the same people day and and day out, have responsibilities etc.
