ldrgirl000 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 He works in the same building as me, he is a full time circus performer working part time as security guy. When we run into each other, he always looks and smile at me. I believe the first time he saw me, he was looking at me without blinking. Sometimes, he looks, smiles just a little but never say anything. One time, we run into each other when I was walking my dog. We mainly just talked about our dogs, he seems happy to talk to me, show me pictures, videos of his shows . But I was quite happy and asked to 'run into' him again the next day. The next day, there were some people with him and he barely talked to me. When we were alone, he just looked at his phone. He seems to talk a lot when the topic is giving advice about raising a dog, then he goes silence. So I thought I was annoying him and left. He tried to ask me if Im single two or three time and laugh out loud when I said I don't. But he never shows any interest in me, he just says things like 'you're out so early today, out so late today, i just shaved my dog, how is your dog, is someone picking you up, get home safely...' One time, when we had beer with his friends, he told his friends he feels bored on sundays because he is all by himself,he doesn't want to be alone without his dog. We always smile at each other, but when many people are around, he tends to ignore me. He looks happy when I ask about his training and show rehearsals. He seems to like it when somebody cares about him and not about dogs and things he knows about dogs. But when I try to ask about his day, he replies, looks a while into my eyes and go back to his phone, when somebody comes, we just stop talking. It's like an interview and he cannot wait for me to leave. But when I leave, he looks at me with those eyes like 'please stay'. Do I annoy him ? should I ignore him and let him come to me when he feels comfortable?
Curious-One Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 The guy is just shy and a bit socialy awkward IE he doesnt know what to talk to you about other then your dogs. Some guys are great at small talk and some are not. He asked you if you were singled 2-3 times?? what did you say did you say yes and did you ask him if he was single after that to show him that hey i wanna know if you have a gf/wife too? If he said yes why not say we should get a drink sometime ... If he is shy then most likely you WILL have to take control if you want to date this guy or at the very least you will have to give him huge hints that you are interested in him. He talks about his dog alot to you because he knows that is what you guys have in common and he can talk about it forever because thats something that interests him so he has alot to talk about on that topic. When i am with a girl that i like i do the same thing , i always wonder what can i talk to her about that will be interesting conversation for the both of us and many times its hard to find something especially when you really like the girl and are nervous. 2

I was going to run into him today, I had planned something in my head to actually ask him out. But as soon as I saw him, he asked me to have lunch with him. We exchanged numbers. He asked a bit about my family, which is a good sign that he seems interested. I hope he will call me
