Ok, so i'm taking this girl out to dinner on Valentine's day, and my question is what do women expect on this day? Flowers? A card? I've been talking to this girl for a couple of months and I just want her to have a great time. Do you ladies have any suggestions that would make the night above average from all the other "Valentine's Dinner Dates" ?

are you dating exclusively? either way you can start out with flowers. it doesnt have to be roses if you two are not excusive daters, but if you would like to see her exclusively, go for roses. dress nice, make a habit from now on (if you dont already) of holding the door for her, pulling her chair out, and such. everything else is just up to your personality. oviously she likes you if she is spending v-day with you, so you are doing things fine already. Just be yourself

I'd give her a teddy bear and a kiss. But that's just me.

Just out of curiosity, are roses considered more personal than other types of flowers? I know lots of girls like flowers, but I always thought flowers were flowers - even if roses are the most popular.

Did I stump the experts again? Lol.

giving flowers is popular because it's a pop culture that many expect. i am sure all women like flowers since they are nice to look at and smell pretty good, but in reality, women just like to be pampered on Vday. no woman doesnt like a little gift every now and then.

roses are of a more popular choice of flowers on vday because:

they symbolize love

Red: Love, Respect, Courage

Yellow: Joy, Gladness, Freedom

Pink/Peach : Gratitude, Appreciation, Admiration or Sympathy

White: Reverence, Purity, Secrecy

The one thing that makes me happy on Valentine's Day is going to dinner to a nice restaurant and being able to order anything!!!!!! Other than that everything is just a small addition to the date.
