Hi guys,

I met this girl a couple of months ago and we started texting, until it got to the point where we texted every day, for around 2 weeks. When I finally asked her out she said she'd love to, but the day I set for the date she was leaving for a term abroad. She'll be back in September.

I've been chatting with her online since she's been abroad, and flirting with her, and she seems receptive--laughs at my horrible jokes, doesn't seem put off by the flirting, messages whenever time differences allow.

Problem is,

1. I don't know how to stay in contact with her until September without seeming desperate, or seeming like I lost interest.

2. I don't know how to tell if she really is interested over chat, which is the only way I can get in contact with her.

Any advice? Thanks.

You can stay in contact with her through social media & possibly e-mail. Be pithy & patient. Don't bombard her with messages but respond when she does. Remember she's on an adventure of a life time so she may not have a lot of time for activities back home.

Come September welcome her home & ask her for a date.
