Lost the love of my life.

Recommended Posts

So I'm not really sure why I am sharing this, I've been reading other peoples stories to see how others cope with bad breakups. So here is my story.

So this girl and I have been friends since were like 10, we've always had feelings for each other, and I've always known she was one. We just started dating a year ago, things were so amazing. We loved each other so much, we knew we were meant to be, we talked about our future as if we would be together for the rest of our lives.

I am 18, she is a year younger than me. This last month has been rough, I've been under lots of stress as I am graduating in a couple of week, I've became some one that I am not, I've been being a a**hole to her, we have been arguing almost every other night because of me and things have just not been the same. The other week, I took her out to the movies and on the way home we argued and when I dropped her off she stormed into her house and I tried to follow and she slammed the door in my face. Later that night she called me and told me she couldn't do this anymore, thats when I realized she was ending things and thats also when I realized that I've been becoming someone I'm not. I acted very immature in our conversation and basically begged her not to do this, but she did.

She says things will never get back to the way they were, she also told me she will still be my grad date, as much as I want her to be I don't know if we should cause she has made it very clear that we will never be more than friends again.

Never underestimate the saying, "You don't know what you've got till its gone."

Live and learn. You are young. There's no such thing as "the one". All relationships end either through death or break-ups, and we meet "ones" throughout our lives that all appear there for a reason. Sometimes reasons compel them to leave, but you can't stay hung up on it if you want to live a happy life.

Don't mistreat people you love, intentionally. I'm sorry you had to learn this the hard way.

Don't worry about it. There are too many fish in the ocean. When you meet the next person that is right for you, you wont waste a minute thinking about this breakup
