stillfiguringitallou Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 This one is the one that brought me the most peace and closure:
Silver Taurus Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 No Limit beat me to it...blasted So What on my run this morning! On my playlist... You Oughtta Know by Alanis Morrisette. Also Goodbye Earl by the Dixie Chicks makes me smile and envision my ex stuffed in the trunk of a car...guess I still have some anger to work thru! 1

Michelle ma Belle Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 21 by Adele If I could have written an album after my separation/divorce from my husband of 20 years, this would have been it. Apart from maybe 2 or 3 songs, every song resonated strongly with me regarding the emotions that went hand in hand with an unhappy marriage and subsequent break-up. Adele got me through an awful period in my life.
jackslife Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Very old one for me. Frank Sinatra's "wee small hours of the morning" Every song is a torch song for a lost love. FS was at his absolute peak when making this album and his feeling and enunciation are sublime. If there is a line that sums up the brutal reality of how your ex feels about you, it has to be Dire Straits "Romeo and Juliet"... You promised me everything, you promised me thick and thin, yeah. Now you just say, "Oh Romeo, yeah. You know, I used to have a scene with him." Heartbreakingly true. Or there's a lyric that goes along the lines of... The moments you cannot remember, are the ones I'll never forget...
Hoosfoos Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 This one rips my freaking heart out: And basically anything else by Chris Isaak.
