Good day everyone. This is my first time. Pardon me. I do wonder if I should apologize for being this way. You tell me?

Born and raised in New Jersey, yes? My family hails from Canada. Just a bit of inside information for you wonderful folks.

Now, last night, I made plans to meet with a young woman who made it her business to contact me via Facebook. We graduated together from the same class back 3 years earlier.

Were we friends? Not exactly. I didn't even recognize her, I tell you. Alas, it was her duty to recognize me, yes?

So anyway, we get in touch and she shows me all of her wonderful pictures on the site. I'll be frank. I'm a tad impressed. Am I floored? Not exactly.

She pushes for a date with me. This is an exclusive date, I tell you, but I'm a very busy man, I tell her. She finds this fascinating. Go figure.

So we make plans to meet at a restaurant in Midtown East. She shows up a little before me. She dresses immaculate. Her clothes are exquisite. But her hair is a mess in my opinion.

I sit down. She wants a hug. I prefer to shake hands. That's my initiative. I let her ramble about life, work, people, etc. I say nothing. I only nod.

Alas, I can't stand to look at her hair. I question her if it's a new style she's attempting to infuse. She doesn't understand my query.

I end the date. I get up. I tell her it was nice meeting you but this will not work out and I leave. She doesn't respond in that moment.

I return to my flat and I receive numerous messages on my phone from her ripping me to shreds. I will not repeat her language over the Internet.

Was I blunt with her? Yes. I had to be under the circumstances. Did I feel it was a waste of my time to see her? Not necessarily since I had nothing else to do that evening.

And to give you folks another update. This was the fifth time this year I've ended a date early with a woman for not meeting my standards.

My sister says its coldhearted. I'm not sure if I agree. My good mate thinks its ingenious and courageous. I'm not sure if I agree on that either. But I'm not going to tolerate my date failing to meet my standards. I've worked too hard through school and through my career to make a good living to get so many disappointments, yes?

Women pursue me at every corner. I don't mind the endeavors. But she has to have it together physically and mentally to have a chance with me. I feel it's only fair since I've worked hard to obtain my accomplishments.

This is what I expect of her. To some it may be impossible to fathom. To me it's only sufficient and expected. So tell me...am I not a very nice person?

I'll be frank - you sound like a narcissistic ******* to me.

You sound like a jerk, but honestly I'd rather someone be blunt with me than dance around their lack of interest. Ending a date early because it's going badly I can only see in a rare few circumstances. A guy friend of mine walked out on a date with a woman because she kept making horrific racial slurs about their server. Another guy friend of mine walked out on a date when his date let it slip she was only 16. These kinds of things. A girl's hair being a mess? Talking too much about herself? Walking out on someone is just flat rude, and is really not appropriate if someone simply isn't a good fit. You're not perfect either. How would someone doing that to you make you feel?

You may have walked away from the woman of your dreams, all because of a bad hair day.

That sucks.

I feel sorry for the woman who decides to stick with you(if a ltr is ever a goal of yours). You are going to be a prime example of the type who manipulates, controls and demands....her hair, huh? That was all? Nah, I am certain there were other reasons for not taking it further...nothing to do with hair.

In his defense, If she was simply having a bad hair day anyone could see through that. He simply wasn't attracted to her and

the hairstyle only solidified the fact.

He was rude in how he handled the situation but If you don't want to date someone because of their hairstyle more power to ya.

Have you thought about having your first dates in a bar or coffee shop. That way if after one drink, the date is not going well you can end it quite easily without appearing rude by saying you have something else organised later that day.

You're not nice at all! You're a jackass! I really don't mean to sound this way but men like u have set out to hurt women like me.

And just because u make a good living and might be pretty good looking doesn't give u the right!

I hope u stay alone for a very long time until u straighten up buddy boy.

So you don't want to see her again, fine. But there's never a reason to be rude or hurtful. It is possible to end a date with graciousness and class, and if you were really the great catch that you think you are, then you would already know that.

I guess you since you had nothing to do that day, you thought it was a good idea to be a jerk.

Karma's gonna come back 10 folds buddy. You're gonna fall for some woman that steals your heart, then she's gonna shred it to pieces and you'll never truly love anyone again.

Nope you'r not nice at all nope. Why don't u be happy that women like u & give u a chance to be with them? Why don't u appreciate that? It looks like you'r some kind of snobby guy that I sometimes see & its terrible :(.

Good grief bro, you're as blunt as a lead pipe.

In my experience, a laundry list of qualifications will just net a relationship with no real connection other then the woman meeting your standards. (same goes for both sexes)

20 bucks says you fall for the first woman to challenge and put you in your place. She'll probably be nothing like this physical, mental goddess with great hair you're looking for either. Nothing more alluring then a woman who instantly see's through all your bull****. ;)
