I broke up with my ex in October last year, however the relationship continued into this year (February) until we both eventually realised that it truly was over.

Over the last three months we have had little contact, occasionally we would text for a few days etc but other than that.

Anyway, two weeks ago I had asked him to not contact me again and on Friday (two days ago) he texted me:

ex: "Hey, sorry to bother you but is there a tram to Manchester city's ground?"

me: "Yeah, who is this?"

ex: "Mikey."

me: "Etihad campus is the station"

ex: "okay, thanks"

me: "Have fun at the gig and I don't mean to be rude or horrible but don't bother me again please"

ex: "kk"

Now, I knew it would of been my ex who had texted me even though I had deleted their number and texts from my phone so I wouldn't have the urge to contact them but who else would start with "sorry to bother you" and also I knew they would be going to a concert at the stadium. I only asked "who is this" to show them that I was coping without them and that I didn't need to have their number anymore (I have it written down though)

I guess my questions are:

a) was I horrible to them? (if I was, it wasn't my intention but I needed to be blunt)

b) why would they text me, asking a question which they could of found out within seconds from Google?

Because it's easier to let you see he's out doing things.

You could block him...?
