Hi eveyone,

I live in Belgium, i'm in the last year of highschool (i'm 18). And the school organizes some sort of prom (it's not as big as in America, it's just a regular party for all last years where everyone brings a date and suits up.)

Yesterday evening I decided to ask my crush (never talked to her before) to the party, so I added her on facebook and she accepted me immediatly, she's 17, so she's one year below me. Cool part is that i needed a history book of someone who was one year younger than me, for a task we had te next day. So I asked her if i could use hers, she agreed and we talked a little bit about school, it was a fun and good conversation, about messy lockers and teachers :-D So the next day (that's today), i met her at school, she gave me the historybook and i asked if she would like to go to the party with me. She then said she wanted to think it over. Then i said something like 'remember, follow your own advice: don't worry'. I said that because she had made a post on facebook where the words 'don't worry' were written on her and her friends face, it was beautifull picture. I think she didn't quiet get it and looked strangely back at me and i walked away. -> i know, very bad response

During the break i searched for her to give her her book back and i asked if she had decided, she said she wouldn't do it because she didn't really knew me. I said: ok, no problem and left.

Would i still have a chance, or did i completely screw it over. If I still have a chance, what would be my best bet?

P.S. sorry for my bad english, hope everything is clear

Yes you still have a chance.

Try to meet her again and say something along the lines of "I'd like to get to know you and I think it can be a lot of fun."

But don't sound needy, desperate or creepy.
