Amelie1980 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Guy I dated for 2.5 months last year. I wasnt that bothered about him. Disappointed for sure. But I did like him quite a bit. long period of nc. Odd text ti which he ignored. I saw him on my WhatsApp early in the year and messaged nice reply back. Now he seems alot more open to contact whereas he wasnt before. My contact was no different to that of a friend whereas he has started putting smileys and kisses on texts. Not done that since we broke up. any ideas. Stay in touch?
veggirl Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 well what do you want from him? are you hoping for reconcilliation?
Author Amelie1980 Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 I dont know. It was short lived and didnt get a chance. Would like to be in contact regularly at least maybe friendly then who knows.
SCJACK Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Maybe he's trying to be extra friendly but trying to lure you and keep you on his back burner. 1
veggirl Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 If you're okay with being just friends, I see no harm in asking him to hang out (an actual activity not just going to your house or something). Maybe check out a festival or something like that.
veggirl Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Yeah I mean I would just be casual about it, he'll prob be surprised but if you act like it's no big deal then maybe he will feel more comfortable? If you've been talking again more just be like "its been cool talking again" and then suggest doing something?
mtnbiker3000 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Whatever he had going after you has now stopped. Wants to see how receptive you are.. Probably for FWB or something... 2

mtnbiker3000 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 And yeah, if this is just a 'feeling the waters' for both of you, then just go ahead and have that conversation. Be blunt. I did it recently and enjoyed favorable results 1

I mirrored what he did....he hasnt put a kiss on sonce we dated. You can tell someones style from theor texting habits. He stopped including any romantic touches, kisses and the like whem he ended it. thing is he didnt reply to my text but then I didnt really give him anything to reply to..... suggestions?
Author Amelie1980 Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 Why did it end the first time around? Official line was he was in hell at work, (which was true) & that he wasnt in the right frame of mind for dating. Im 99.9% sure he met someone else and they broke up now. Im not that bothered about it. We met online and it happens. Hell ive done it. Not pursued a relationship with someone because of someone else and then regretted dumping when the new one went up in smoke. 1
